Join us as we review the information collected through surveys, the March Town Hall, and the Board Retreat in April. We’ll update the community on the information we received and relate what has been put into the strategic plan thus far.We’ll be showing the draft of the… long range goals that have been crafted from the information gathered from the community. And we will be asking for feedback on those goals and the short term objectives required to fulfill a strategic plan.

LGBT Phoenix Advisory Board Meeting

The LGBT Phoenix Advisory board would like to invite you to meet our new Chief for the Phoenix Police Department, Daniel Garcia. The fact that Chief Garcia has made it a priority, one week after being sworn in, to come and meet the Phoenix LGBT Community on Harvey Milk’s birthday speaks to the close work and value that the Phoenix Police Department puts on the relationship it has with the Community!

Come and meet the new Police Chief, and show him how much we as the LGBT Community are involved in the Phoenix Community, and how much we acknowledge the Phoenix Police Department’s impact on our LGBT Community.

Let’s fill the Community Church of Hope!

Harvey Milk Day Walk

Join us as we pay homage to Harvey Milk and his contribution to the LGBT movement for Full Equality. Harvey Milk became the first openly gay man elected to any substantial political office in the history of the planet, and even though his life and political career were cut short he became and has become a focus for the LGBT Community. Harvey allowed us to hope that we could be more, that we could be Out and Proud, that we could live in a world without hatred and bigotry, and that we could achieve Equal treatment under the law.

We will be walking from the State Capitol to Cesar Chavez plaza in honor of Harvey Milk, and recreate the spontaneous march and candlelight vigil the day the LGBT Community lost Harvey Milk.

One Voice Community Center is Proud to Host the Queer Undocumented Immigrant Project/Arizona Dream Act Coalition Panel Discussion on “Coming Out, Again! Growning Up Gay and Undocumented”

Growing up we all form different identities, some which we emphasize more than others. The Queer Undocumented Immigrant Project was formed to explore the Double Coming Out process that queer undocumented youth go through and bring awareness to the issues of queer undocumented youth.
