1VCC is committed to providing support to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals and families impacted by violence. Trained advocates are available 24 hours a day to provide support through active listening, crisis intervention, community referrals and safety planning.
Tentative training scheduled for January or February 2010. Currently recruiting volunteers for the Anti-Violence Project Hotline. No experience necessary. Volunteers will be trained in crisis intervention, advocacy, safety planning, domestic violence, hate crimes, resources, etc.
